Sandals Bahamas Emerald Bay Review (2019) – Exuma All Inclusive Resort

▶ My Travel Essentials – https://bit.ly/2KRCu3N

This is our Sandals Bahamas Emerald Bay Review from when we visited in 2019. Emerald Bay is a resort in Great Exuma in the Bahamas. Included in our review is the swim with the pigs excursion and much more (by the way, we went with Exuma Water Sports for our swimming with the pigs adventure). We also discuss the bars, food, beach, staff, and location of Sandals Emerald Bay.

Great review Jeff! As another person commented, I highly recommend Sandals Southcoast! My wife and I first experienced that resort back in October of 2013 for our Honeymoon. We have been back 4 times since then. It’s the only Sandals resort we have experienced, and keep saying we are going to try others, but we honestly fell in love with it! We have become friends with a few of the staff members via social media, and always look forward to catching up with them each trip. As mentioned the shuttle ride is roughly 90 minutes from the airport, but it seems to go by pretty quick! I could go on and on regarding this resort, and if you have any questions or would like to know more, please feel free to reach out via email and I could probable answer any questions ya might have! miller kyle 82 @ Gmail

I agree… the WHOLE reason we went to Exuma was to swim w/ the pigs but I have to say, overall, it was my LEAST favorite part of the excursion. (still fun but quite intimidating at times when the BIG pigs would come at ya, haha). My favorite part of the excursion was swimming w/ the sharks and feeding the iguanas, Thunderball grotto and of course the boat ride. We used Sugar Adventures and would absolutely use them again!  Next time you’re back at Sandals you HAVE to check out the golf course. It was stunning. And next time we go we HAVE to try Kimono’s. I could kick myself for not trying it! Thanks for sharing your review! 🙂 (also, I was not even aware the beach at Sandals Emerald Bay was public? I just figured it was private because it was SO peaceful!)

Being a golfer I really enjoy this resort for that and the sushi is amazing! Of all the Sandals we’ve been to it’s the prettiest water you’ll see. Try touring the sand bar or getting to Georgetown, take a water taxi to Chat n Chill. Thanks for the good video.

If you had to choose between this resort and Montego Bay, which would you recommend more?

Great video….we went to Cape Santa Maria Resort on Long Island (about 25 miles from where you were) in February but are thinking about Georgetown/Stocking Island next year and this Sandals is a possibility. Love the Bahamas! Thank you for your overview—perfectly done!

Jeff ..a large travel towel that’s folds into nothing is a must. I was a resort where they charged $10 dollars for towel rentals each day..I got a couple on Amazon..always take with me.

Went to Turk and Caicos multiple times as a kid. It was amazing then

Agree with the humidity 100%. Went to sandals Negril last year and it seemed even more humid at night. Went to emerald bay the year before and the weather was great! Checking out sandals Antigua this year! Fingers crossed!

I’ve been to the Southcoast Jamaica Sandals resort on 50 acres and hands down I would go there every chance I have!!! I highly recommend! 1 hr 30 mins from airport to resort but worth it!!!!!!!!!!! 🌺💗☀️

I’ve been to 3 different Sandals resorts (Grande St. Lucian, Ochi in Jamaica, and Barbados) and I would strongly discourage you from going to Barbados. First of all, the flight time is insane, it takes forever to get there. Secondly, the small airport there only has flights in and out early in the morning or in the early afternoon. There is no real flexibility with flights, it’s a real pain in the butt. And thirdly, even though Barbados has 2 resorts kind of crammed into 1 ITS PRETTY BORING!! Not much night time entertainment at all and the staff isn’t very friendly or engaging in anyway.

Now if you want to have a BLAST, I highly recommend Ochi. It’s one of the most inexpensive resorts to visit which is crazy because it’s really 2 resorts combined into one (like Barbados) and is SO MUCH FUN!!! Honest to god, endless night time fun, incredible restaurants, a super fun speak easy, and the staff is out of this world. So fun and they really keep the party going at all times. In fact, when we were in Barbados, we made friends with one of the staff photographers who told us he just moved to Barbados from Jamaica and that he did work at Ochi. When we mentioned how different the Barbados resort is he without hesitation said “Oh yeah, for sure. This place isn’t nearly as fun but it is nice.” Haha! Seriously, TRY OCHI!!!

I loved sandals Montego Bay. We did our scuba certification while we were there (12-our instructor- was awesome)

  13. Empty Nest Adventures on May 10, 2020 at 2:28 am

Something that most won’t realize is that the water is nasty. Sewage in the water from the the boats cruising in the area builds up 9n the bay.

Hey Jett, Love the video…Thx. Do you have any advice for taking a couple of teenagers (19) to Sandals and if yes, which one? Thx

We went in May 2019 the beach was amazing and we were able to paddle board and sail! We did the pig excursion and also the turtle one! We’d go back in a heartbeat 💗

  18. Kayla Matthews on May 10, 2020 at 2:30 am

This reminded me of our vaca there! Loved it here! And everyone that we talked to that had been there before had been there multiple times!

Have enjoyed both of your reviews fort Sandals. Actually, the one you did on Jamaica was a contributing factor in my selection of Sandals for my honeymoon. However, we’re going to St. Lucia. Still, we were influence by your video.

    Can I come next time?????

  22. Michael DeWitt on May 10, 2020 at 2:36 am

They purposely block local numbers for excursions so you have to book through them. If you want a resort, save the money and go to Florida. Rent a house in Exuma:
