We’re humans, and as such tend to do best when we have less material between our feet and the ground. Minimalist/barefoot shoes can be a great way of getting our feet more engaged and back to their natural state. That being said, using these shoes for running or other high impact activities can take a bit more guidance. That’s why we feel that using minimalist/barefoot shoes can be ideal for casual wear!

Also check out Willings (German eco conscious company) and Softstar (Oregon). Fabulous shoes.

Xero has come some ways since this video was made. They have a dress shoe (the Alston) and have a whole new line of shoes coming out soon.
Great video btw I’m constantly spreading the gospel of going barefoot. Best decision I’ve made in years.

Good basic information. In the “match the shape of your feet” you can include the toe shape. Different manufacturers tend to have different shapes of toes — more slanted down from the big toe vs. more squared off. That can make a big difference to fit.

Unfortunately, not one of the brands you mention has options for wide feet. Mine are extremely wide across the forefoot and even wider across the toes. The only non-custom options that work for me are Softstar Primal Sawyer (which are exactly the shape of my feet). I wish manufacturers would recognize that feet come in different widths as well as lengths!

We are proud to sell foot shaped shoes which allow your feet to move naturally 🙂 It is amazing how radical this is and how many shoes restrict your natural shoe movement
