Nothing wrong with wingtips or monks and a suit in my opinion it’s more creative that a plain shoe

  2. KaZi IsLaMa on March 17, 2020 at 7:29 pm

Great Sir got shoes lessons. Time shop bottom up

  3. Pastor Jay Oliver on March 17, 2020 at 7:30 pm

Totally wrong about #1 vs #3. It’s the other way around. Historically wholecuts car like opera pumps in the most formal category. Opera pumps are wholecuts as well. But good video any. 🙂

  4. RPM on March 17, 2020 at 7:31 pm

What about horsebit loafers, tassel loafers, tassel and kiltie loafters, woven leather dark brown oxfords, very low heeled shoes? Bunch them together with the other loafers?

  5. A. Osmond on March 17, 2020 at 7:32 pm

Of course, you can wear dress boots with a suit ALL day. Why on this earth will you NOT? Dress boots are simply dress shoes with high ankle. They look exactly the Dane with pants over the ankle area. besides, Boots are perfect for cold weather.

  6. Glenn Jakobsen on March 17, 2020 at 7:33 pm

Good primer. I’ll need to rethink my old rule of thumb. The more they hurt, the more formal they are!

  7. Apper Style on March 17, 2020 at 7:34 pm

Every time a came here i learn a lot !!

  8. Miha Novak on March 17, 2020 at 7:37 pm

I’m sorry but the most formal dress shoe is the Opera pump with white tie.. Why didn’t you mention this?

Antonio, do you have a vid on house shoes? If not, please do one!

  11. Late to the Game on March 17, 2020 at 7:39 pm

I love my Chukkas! I know they’re casual, but people like the look.
The Ace’s suck! I saw someone resoling them and they are what you pay for, but you can upgrade them by resoling them. But I don’t think the Italian design is comfortable.

  12. Luca Avellano on March 17, 2020 at 7:39 pm

I’m getting a Timothy Ollyphant vibe.

  13. Achintha madumal on March 17, 2020 at 7:41 pm

    agreed

  14. Harrison Millman on March 17, 2020 at 7:41 pm

You should try out the RM Williams signature craftsmen boots

  15. James James on March 17, 2020 at 7:43 pm

Can I assume that "chukka" boots would be in the "Dress Boot" category?

  16. 1911geek on March 17, 2020 at 7:44 pm

This kat is pretentious will not get out of the house too complicated enjoy the craftmanship of the design don’t be over technical like a Kat who just made the salary showing his entire possession. Video is good for young lad who like shaping offs. Don’t why these videos auto play on my list perhaps I should stop commenting on it 😂

  17. Late to the Game on March 17, 2020 at 7:45 pm

I don’t like to lace my shoe straight. I cross the laces. Am I just making an idiot out of my self? Tell me about it!

  18. Train Bennett on March 17, 2020 at 7:46 pm

I like the peaky blinders look. I wear my black cap toe Thursday boots with suits. I never go to black tie events but interviews and funerals and weddings etc. are what I go to. I have a ranch and the boots fit my lifestyle . Is this wrong?

  19. Jason H on March 17, 2020 at 7:47 pm

I just wear black Nikes so it’s both formal and casual at the same time

  20. Gustavo Heredia on March 17, 2020 at 7:49 pm

Is there an ACEMARKS store in New York City ?, am really interested on the wholecut oxford plain toe Avio Antique .
    Thankyou .

  21. Velister Vaz on March 17, 2020 at 7:49 pm

Driving mocs✌️. Can be worn with formals attire too..

  22. S O on March 17, 2020 at 7:52 pm

Very informative. I might argue that most American job interviews aren’t going to feature strict fashion guidelines, at least not in the healthcare realm. I wasn’t told much beyond wearing a suit and tie to an interview. I was actually saddened that I got my last job via phone interview and didn’t get to wear my suit and Allen Edmond shoes. I got the job.

I’d imagine high dollar financial institutions, old money, and a few other areas might be a little more advanced than healthcare in the Midwest. 😉

  23. Kuldip Singh on March 17, 2020 at 7:53 pm

Loafers can be worn with a nice summer suit and without a tie shirt.

  24. Garth Wright on March 17, 2020 at 7:53 pm

    I do NOT like loafers!!

  25. Shubhanga K on March 17, 2020 at 7:53 pm

What about black leather Slip-On’s ?
They’re simple in construction, no detailing, and elegant. Shouldn’t they be formal?

  26. nuno tiago damas on March 17, 2020 at 7:53 pm

Is it possible to wear black leather chelsea boots with a suit? I love your chanel!

  27. Yeng Sabio on March 17, 2020 at 7:56 pm

My late grandfather always have said, that gentlemen (real men at that) always live by the rules.

And I get it! When dressing, he always used to check us to see whether we’re in tact & proper bearing. And when he say, "Wear your clothes kiddo!," he means that you wear the right clothes that will match the occasion.

  28. hardik khatri on March 17, 2020 at 7:57 pm

2 years after the video, do you still recommend that company???

  29. Milan Milacic on March 17, 2020 at 8:00 pm

    Where are alpargatas?

  30. Jovel Magno on March 17, 2020 at 8:01 pm

Hi, may I ask what kind of dress shoes does Tom Cruise was wearing in the movie Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, when they’re at Burj Kalifa and during the collision on a car chase? I’m not sure if you had seen the movie, but I wanna know, what type of dress shoes he was wearing. Thank you in advance😊

  31. lohengrinknight on March 17, 2020 at 8:02 pm

The wholecut is to very many in the world, except for this host, one of the most formal shoes out there. And it can also be worn with slim jeans and a dress shirt. This specific video is bs.

  32. Rick Den on March 17, 2020 at 8:04 pm

    What…no sandals?

  33. Diksha Kumar on March 17, 2020 at 8:07 pm

    They are intergalactic omg 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  34. Paul McShea on March 17, 2020 at 8:08 pm

I think Dress Boots can 100% go with a suit….. agree or disagree?

  35. ali alhamza on March 17, 2020 at 8:11 pm

    I love boots very much

  36. Shakes NoPewPew on March 17, 2020 at 8:12 pm

Good morning sir! I love the video. It has really helped me to identify which shoes I want for certain occasion’s. However, as you’re asking for a different opinion I’d like to add mine. I wanna put the dress boots and the number 6 spot instead of the Chelsea’s. I think that the dress boot as a way of commanding attention when wearing it a suit but nuts to a very formal setting. For example in a simple business setting. A good way to show off without looking obnoxious.

  37. Anthony on March 17, 2020 at 8:12 pm

Get off you-tube. There are no more shoemakers to repair these shoes. People wear sneakers today.

  38. David Molloy on March 17, 2020 at 8:13 pm

Thanks Antonio for another great video. I love monk shoes but always have trouble with finding some that fit, because I have an high instep.
I’ve tried several brands but still the same problem. Other shoes and boots are ok, except for certain brands of Chelsea boots. David, 😎🌞🇬🇧

  39. skaterfugater on March 17, 2020 at 8:14 pm

7:20 … Brogues are not for interviews?
that is stuck up. I like everything you said but job interviews are also a place to stand out from the rest.
Do wear broques with color to an interview! Apart from the fact that interviews are not formal. They are to make an impression not conform to a standard.
A suit with exciting shoes is perfect for an interview.

  40. A. Osmond on March 17, 2020 at 8:15 pm

    You missed chukka shoes/boots.

  41. chefmarcos on March 17, 2020 at 8:17 pm

Antonio could you please recommend good shoe sources that can provide extra wide options? I’ve got 4E feet and it’s hard to ever find anything comfortable.

  42. Sixgun Symphony on March 17, 2020 at 8:18 pm

You could wear dress boots with a tweed suit.

  43. Jackson Vaddakkethala on March 17, 2020 at 8:20 pm

Which is the best pair of shoes which I can wear with my jeans as well as formal pant or chinos ???

  44. Scott Carroll on March 17, 2020 at 8:20 pm

Whatever you do, please don’t wear loafers without socks. I saw a dude the other day wearing $500 Ferragamo loafers without socks. SMDH. We got folks out here living on the street and this dude is spreading toe jam on a $500 pair of loafers. This is not Miami Vice and you’re not Don Johnson, wear socks dammit.

  45. Don Dieu on March 17, 2020 at 8:21 pm

As far as I’m concerned, the majority of the shoes you showed are ugly. I always go for the more (Texas) formal look of a brightly polished black cowboy boot. Or,
if I’m wearing a lighter color, a pair of brightly polished brown or cordovan cowboy boots. BTW, I do not own any shoes other than tennis shoes.

  46. Alex-GenTLe on March 17, 2020 at 8:22 pm

About job interviews: you’ll be more successfully if you will adapt yourself to the type of company you are going to have the interview with. If you’re going to work for a PAtek Philippe boutique in the centre of Milan, then it’s ok to have black oxford and a formal suit. If you’re going for a position at Facebook, that’s another story.
I know something myself having worked (as manager) for 2 years in Amazon: a decent shirt, a blazer, jeans, brown brogue derbies, no tie, a good Omega watch, and it was done. People coming to the interviews with the suit and the tie were just looking COMPLETELY out of place there where even the fulfillment center general managers were going around in Ac/Dc t-shirt and shorts in summer time.
So, study the company and its environment and dress the way it fits for the company, that’s the 1st good recipe.

  47. Johnny Silvercloud on March 17, 2020 at 8:22 pm

I wear dress boots with suits with no loss. Great vid still!

  48. Glenn Conner on March 17, 2020 at 8:24 pm

If you actually put a real penny in the loafer does it move it up, down, or stay at number 8? 😀

  49. Raul Lopez on March 17, 2020 at 8:24 pm

I absolutely agree with your list, except I prefer the tassel loafers over the other

  50. ToonsOff Fun on March 17, 2020 at 8:25 pm

    No opera pump 🙁
