I find that the cord-lock lets the cord slip and does not hold well.

Thanks. An improvement, though: cut the laces with the shoes on, the laces with your desired tension, and the lock already in position.

What size shock cord do you use for this

  17. Adam Jezewski on April 4, 2020 at 7:53 pm

What size cord did you use? 1/8 or 3/16?

  18. Ben Cinderz on April 4, 2020 at 7:53 pm

Nice video…would this work using Parachord as the lace instead of the stretchy shock chord??

This was a very useful and well made demo, many thanks! I bought these laces, but was so puzzled about how to install them on sneakers. I hate tying up shoes, everything has to be slip on and fast, unless running a marathon. My kit though, did not have those flat zip lock thingies, only something conical and bulky for the ends. I may have to improvise with an electrical wiring end cap which can press down and lock. Thank you!!

this looks great, but wouldn’t the flex in the shock cord cause the fitting to stretch as you’re rigorously running/walking?

no zipper pulls listed on your website 😕

  32. Kurt M. on April 4, 2020 at 8:20 pm

You used two lacing needles in the video. Why do you only provide one in the kit that you sell? If you tighten the laces after putting your shoe on, how can you slide the excess under the laces?
