I’ve been binge watching your videos. Definitely very helpful! My husband and I are planning on going to the Grenada location this year for my birthday. I noticed it was closer to the bottom of your list in one of your previous videos. Do you recommend it or think it’s worth it to go?

We booked in the Bahamas in late December. Your absolutely correct about booking flight through sandals web site. Turns out they just go through a Miami travel agency, and they allowed us to book the destination and return flights from different Houston airports. We are not rookie traveler’s, and we didn’t notice until I went to check in to our flight, and actually saw the flight itinerary. Airlines and travel agency wouldn’t touch the flights, we would have had to purchase new tickets.

Our reservation said we had room service, but when we arrived they said our rooms didn’t include room service. We showed them the verbiage on the reservation, I printed the whole page out, and they tried to argue with us, but eventually "threw it in". Coincidentally because a few more people were checking to in and they probably didn’t want to argue in front of other guests.

Overall we had a really good time, but we weren’t impressed, we’ve stayed at nicer places for less money.

What a helpful video! You really know your Sandals stuff. Can’t wait to see more entries in your Sandals Resort Report (great name btw)!

Hi, my husband and I are going to Sandals Royal Plantation next month and I know this is an all Butler resort. Any suggestions on a good amount to tip each Butler per day? Or is is customary to tip at the end on the trip?
    Thanks

Good morning, I recently watched this video and found great information. I wanted to ask what is the amount that sandals takes out as a hold on a credit card or cash upon check in? Thank you for all your hard work and fantastic research that you do to create these videos.

Hi what would you consider the best of the best for sandals all inclusive travel? Me & my wifey have already traveled to St lucia sandals before we got married which was amazing in every way. It was our first all inclusive & now its all we want to do. I like to do a lot of snorkeling & in St Lucia I saw more than in any other location(Ive snorkeled in bahamas, st thomas, hawaii, key west) so this is very important. So I guess what Im trying to figure out is what sandals location can top the St Lucia one?! lol & if there is no sandals that can top it what other all inclusive can?

I noticed that you said Sandals usually charges $200-$600 a night for a couple staying at their resorts. It’s the end of January and I’m trying to book a very small destination wedding for my fiancé and I at Sandals, but every resort I check for 3 different weekends in April is charging $1,500 for a Saturday or roughly $3,000 for an extended weekend. Am I doing something wrong?

How far in advance should I book reservations to the restaurants?

Room service is not included at all levels believe it or not.

Vanessa, going back to Sandals for the first time in 10+ years (opted for boutique hotels for a bit). My experience has always been that guest services will make you deal on an upgrade during the check-in process. Can you talk about this practice, what to look out for and when to know if it’s truly worth the additional investment?

Oh, and don’t be surprised if you see guests who are over weight or ugly when you get there. Over weight and ugly people have money too……just saying

Sandals Ochi – I don’t recommend it. It was loud, we couldn’t get dinner reservations. Upon our arrival our shared pool was dirty! We had to ask for it to be cleaned. There were centipedes in our room on many occasions. Our safe was broken into and money stolen. The beach is across a highway and is very small. We could have had a better experience at far less expensive at a different family of resorts. We’ve been to Sandals Resorts many times and Sandals Ochi was nothing but a disappointment.

This convinced me NOT to take a SANDALS vacation. It is an organization that is obviously running in a scammy way. Why can’t they just be up front?
