Are these methods for permanent effect? I have knit running shoes with Velcro straps that go over the ankle and they are so tight that my circulation gets cut off while wearing them

Stretching is bullshit. It does not work it just destroys the shoe a bit. Going to a shoe shop to get them surgery us the only way.

The hair dryer and a good wooden shoe stretcher works wonderfully. I had to do this with shoes several times while on vacation. The concierge service usually had the shoe stretcher ( thankfully) and I bring my hair dryer. But if you don’t use/bring a dryer? The rooms almost always have them in the bathrooms 😊 Thank you for the suggestions. I’m definitely going to try the rubbing alcohol idea.
