One of the best ways to pull off the smart casual outfit is to wear dress shoes with jeans. The issue is it’s not as easy as most men think.
In this video I show you how to wear dress shoes with jeans, alongside showing you the basics of wearing shoes with jeans.
What dress shoes should you opt for? What jeans? What should you avoid?
Personally if I ever want to dress up a casual outfit I’ll simply replace sneakers/casual footwear with some dress shoes. Good shoes are a tool in every mans wardrobe as they can seriously improve the style of any outfit.
Find out what shoes I recommend alongside the basic rules of wearing dress shoes with jeans.
How do you pull it off?
What jeans and dress shoes do you own?

*What are thooooose?*
Don’t mind me, I guess I’m too (smart) casual.
There are no rules.
Ur light blue suits U bttr then d shoes
Agree with everything you said, except you need to hem the Jean’s. Folding Jean’s gives the entire outfit a juvenile look and shows you lack the funds to have your Jean’s properly hemmed at a professional taylor. Properly hemmed Jean’s are a huge fashion statement, especially with expensive fitted jeans.
Informative!!
Derby is the most versatile stile along with monk straps. Oxfords I have in black and brown. End of story.
What do you think about blue brogues with jeans?
Can’t stand skinny jeans back in the days the jeans what are straight leg and they were not tight like they are today the pants of today are so ugly skinny jeans make your shoes look humongous like a leprechaun I’ll say to my regular straight leg jeans and they could be a little bit baggy see you’re from England and you guys dressed different
OK I got the brown shoes and belt with jeans, but what color shirt is good, blue? Black? Brown? I saw a red one in the video and that looks quite good. Great video I gave it a like!
1st rule of thumb is to use your own common sense, 2nd rule is to stop watching and listening to crap like this!
That’s some good hair Bro…
Dude looks high as a kite! Lol
Helpful
Loake Burford Boots or Chester Brogues work perfectly with most jeans whether the rest of your outfit is casual or smart casual.
Thanks
The only shoe that goes with jeans, any jeans, is Cowboy Boots mate.
Middle school I wore baggy jeans like crazy, ripping them and shit
Chelsea

Jeans, western boots and hat. My style.
honestly you have no style
what’s the name of the song in the end of the video?
Hey I had a question and I’m in need of some advice, I have bought myself a pair of oxblood oxfords. I was wondering what colours would look best paired with them. I had the idea of wearing a dark blue jean, a light grey sports jacket and a black crew neck long sleeve shirt. However I don’t know if they would clash. If so could you give me some recommendations? Thanks! ps. Im looking for something semi casual 🙂
I always wear polo shirts and dark slim jeans. What kind of shoe would i wear? Tnx.
i wear oxfords with fitted cargo pants and a silk dress shirt, it always impresses
Tons of crappy videos of men who can’t dress themselves telling other men how they should dress.
This right here is the only guy every guy out there should listen to.
nice . thx
not to be offensive but your eyebrows bro! nonono
Thanks! This helped.
Great content even years later. Would you wear a pair of Monk Straps jeans and a Tshirt? Or is this too casual still? Thanks.
Where did you get your jacket?
Excellent video, excellent advice. Thank you.
I usually put my shoes on my feet. It’s worked out so far. And please stop saying the word "outfits". I don’t know any men who wear outfits.
Stylish men don’t own jeans.
Sometimes they choose the wrong haircut.
You are really not in a position to give fashion advice. You are an embarrassment and are excruciatingly annoying.
Who makes the brogues at 3:37??
Before wearing dress shoes with jeans you’d better have cleaned the shoes, lol.
Who makes those first gorgeous derbies that appear at 0:15?
What about dark denim jeans with grey suede chukka boots ? Hmmm
What about medium-dark brown colour jeans with a long wing double monk strap?
I really don’t like wearing light colored jeans
What about mahogany coloured shoes. What colour belt ??
good video for sure. have a doubt , with black jeans would be possible to wear dark brown shoes?
Simple rules most guys are oblivious to, nicely done video.
Hellow mister MC gregor
Wear dress shoes with a thong.
I prefer single monks to double, and some black single monks look really good with dark jeans.
It’s simple – pair most formal pair of jeans (non-distressed, dark color, slim fit) with the least formal pair of dress shoes – non-black leather (as it’s most conservative) but rather least conservative – suede, brown/whiskey/tan colored leather, contrast stitching or contrast sole, chunky sole, baroque details, and also less formal shoe design (monk strap, loafer, derby) vs. more formal (oxford). And you are good… Also, I would care about the top too. If you go with dress shoes, it’s better to pair that pair of jeans with a shirt with a collar or a sweater vs. just a t-shirt or a hoodie.
