After spending time in Antigua, you quickly find that tourists usually pronounce it wrong. It is pronounced ‘An TI Gah. Yes, there is a U in there, but listen to the locals. They made sure to always correct us, lol! Sandals seems like a quiet, low key place. I go to the Jolly Beach area and it’s pretty lively with nightly music, dancing and people watching. Did you go on any tours? We did one in the rainforest where I ate the single most tastiest pineapple ever and then we did an environmental boat tour which was fascinating, then the captain took us to a snorkeling area that is a favorite of the locals.
Another great vlog! The best reviews are always honest reviews. Loved,loved how down to earth and real this was. And so enjoyed the smiles and laughs- because feelings expressed tell more than any words written. Awesome job and thank you for sharing your travels with us.

This was great, loved the commentary and overall content. Stray cats strutting, sprinklers, a streaker, a lifeguard and damsel in distress😆😂!! Ocean breezes, sunsets, sand, dancing, drinks, boat rides, exploring, smiles and laughter. Cuteness overload!! What a fun adventure, looks like you guys had a blast!! 💙

Another great vlog. Beautiful place! Loved the flasher. (That’s what memories are made of lol) The sprinkler was funny, unless it was MY room and I wanted in or out!! I think I’d avoid the beach also. The cats are cute and wouldn’t bother me except for in my room. I’d be afraid of fleas. The food is whatever, while in Rome and all …. All in all I’d go to this place! Good Job!! Also loved Tyler narrating!!!

I loved the video because you two are the stars of it. However I won’t be adding this to my bucket list for one reason and that is cats. I’m afraid of cats for as long as I can remember! Eeeeeek!

Hermitage Bay is the place to be in Antigua! Private beach, great food, and no cats 🙂
I am an avid traveller and also vegan. I find it so sad that all-inclusive resorts don’t offer more of these dishes, even for allergy purposes! I always travel with lots of vegan snacks because of this, like protein bars. I find them easy to eat on the go too, just in case we are on a hike, or traveling for the day, and it actually helps save money on lunches. I’m so glad to see that you are sticking with the vegan lifestyle, even when there are times that that might be trickier, like in travel.

I really enjoyed the intro in which you gave a brief geography lesson. I also really appreciated the fun facts about the cats and vendors on the beach. My biggest takeaway is how beautiful of an island Antigua is. I thank you both for taking me on this journey.

Well I can definitely scratch that Sandals resort off my go to list, first off, my wife hates cats! Secondly for the money you pay I wasn’t impressed at all by the food on offer! It’s supposed to be a high class resort but it’s blatantly obvious you can’t relax on the beach due to the high numbers of “ vendors “!

We went there in 2012. My brother and I hold the record for flipping a hobie cat. I think we were on it for 20 seconds. I have since learned proper sailing technique. We loved all of the restaurants. On our first night we went to the Italian and neither my wife nor I brought our reading glasses. The place was so dark that we had to have the waitress read the menu to us. The problem was that I never realized that they had lava cake until the last night when my brother told me about it. I felt cheated in that I could have had it many more times that week.
The one problem that I did have with a restaurant was their hibachi place. It was so hot in there that I had to leave before the meal was over. A few more exhaust fans and AC would have been in order.
When I went to check in at the SCUBA center I didn’t have my C card as it had been decades since I had dove. They told me that for $25 they would use the computer to locate my credentials and then I would be allowed to dive. I paid the money and they told me that they couldn’t find it on the NAUI system. Oh well I should have known that since I had gotten certified back in 1983.
All in all I did like the place.
I’ll judge Now:
1) your faces we’re like you really love it, but it’s a gift, it’s a borrowed vacacion, you feel it’s way to pricey even if you have the money you would feel awfull to waste it.
2) Food Is very very important regarding mood AND enjoyment.
My hipótesis:
You guys we’re invited, it wasn’t an aniversary ir a Honeymoon, so you guys didn’t have love tunnel visión.
If you guys would have planned it AND spent the money you guys would have buyers remorse because of relation of the food value vs price vs enjoyment. You guys would have had a great Time, but feel it’s not a Good value.
You guys couldnt Let loose. It’s like parking your friends Lamborghini… You know it’s kool but since its not yours , your mind creates a Buffer for the pain of giving it back.
There’s a reason the best vacations you guys ever had, wasn’t even expensive….. It’s because your mind knows it was a Good value.
Enjoyment Is tied with value.

I’m want to go to sandals but i hace to save money for 2 Years to afford it.. should i save for 2 Years? Is it a great value, worth the sacrifice?…. I mean it’s 2 Years of sacrificial saving, not Easy saving

My wife and I went in September!!! Absolutely LOVED it!!!! Jet Ski Jason was pretty cool and very persistent haha he hooked us up on a private tour around the island.
We can’t wait to go back in a few years!! Who was your Butler? Ours Wendell and he was great.
This resort seems like two stars at best
I have a hard time to believe the price you say, it’s nice but I do nicest hotel than that for less than 2000$. Best thing about this hotel is the girl😄👍
Any resort with cats is a 5+++++++ star in my books!
